Golden Valley Paper Mills - 5 plank OO

Limited edition 5 plank wagon commissioned by Wessex Wagons for the Bristol MRC Exhibition and made by Dapol in 2018. Limited edition certificate included no. 82 of 124 pristine wagons. The Golden Valley Paper Mills was run by the Sommerville family from 1849 until they sold it to King-Smith family in 1895 with the mill in operation until the 1960's. At its peak in the mid 1890's the mill was using 200 to 300 tons of coal per week to run it's boilers. The mill had it's own wagons as evidenced by a photograph of the wagon modelled here at Bitton.ERA's: 2 and 3. Wagon is in excellent like new condition, box in good condition.
