Castrol Motor Spirit Open Wagon - OO Gauge

Produced exclusively by The Wagon Yard this UK designed and printed wagon is made using the high quality RCH 1907 Spec. 7 plank open wagon from Rapido Trains UK. C. C. Wakefield & Company was founded in London in 1899. Initially the company was known for producing lubricants for trains and heavy machinery but in the early 1900's their focus shifted to the blossoming motor oil industry. Castrol Motor Spirit was introduced in 1909 and the brand name would soon eclipse the company name in terms of recognition. Much like the other major motor oil comapnies of the time Castrol relied heavily on the railways for transportation of goods and materials. ERA's: 2 & 3
