Glan Garnant Colliery - 7 plank N gauge
£21.95
Limited edition 7 plank wagon commissioned by West Wales Wagon Works and made by Dapol in 2009. Limited edition of 75 pristine wagons, this being no. 34. Glan Garnant was a short lived colliery in operation from 1899 to 1910. The colliery was located north of Swansea on the Pantyffynnon to Brynamman line of the GWR. 50 wagons were purchased from the Gloucester Carriage & Wagon Company in 1902. The wording on the wagons suggests the company regularly supplied coal to the brewing industry. Although hop growing was concentrated in Kent and Worcestershire, breweries were located all over the country suggesting the wagons would travel throughout the UK. ERA: 2. Wagon is in excellent like new condition with all buffers and couplings intact. Limited edition sticker present, box in good condition with some wear to sleeve.
